Making a Lasting Impact Through Community Programs

Over the years, Bilal Community & Family Centre has delivered a diverse range of programs designed to strengthen individuals, families, and communities. While these initiatives have concluded, they represent BCFC's continued commitment to addressing the evolving needs of newcomers, youth, seniors, families, and underserved communities through education, wellness, leadership, and community engagement.

Countering Digital Disinformation Project

As misinformation continues to affect communities around the world, BCFC launched the Countering Digital Disinformation Project to help participants navigate today's digital landscape with confidence. The project focused on building digital literacy by teaching participants how to identify misinformation, evaluate online sources, think critically about digital content, and make informed decisions when consuming information online.

Through workshops, discussions, and educational resources, participants learned practical strategies to recognize false or misleading information, understand the impact of digital disinformation, and become responsible digital citizens. The project also encouraged community dialogue and promoted media literacy as an essential skill in today's connected world.

Continuing Our Journey

While these programs and projects have concluded, their impact continues through the individuals, families, and communities they served. Each initiative reflects BCFC's ongoing commitment to creating opportunities, removing barriers, and empowering people to thrive.

As community needs evolve, Bilal Community & Family Centre remains dedicated to developing innovative programs and partnerships that build stronger, healthier, and more inclusive communities for generations to come.
